CURRENT DEFINITION OF DIGITAL MEDIA

In the latest technology revolution, educators (Florida Department of Education) and industry (Digital Media Alliance Florida [DMAF]) are trying to adequately define Digital Media to the satisfaction of all those in the field. Our operating definition of Digital Media is “the creative convergence of digital arts, science, technology and business for human expression, communication, social interaction and education.” [Adapted from DMAF’s definition; based upon definition from Florida’s Digital Media Education Coordination Group, established by SB 2050, 2001] This definition includes:
